Work pulled support for Cinnamon and forced me to switch to Gnome and holy shit is it bad for my use cases.

I'll grant this much though - it remembers which windows go on which monitors, and moves them back when I plug those monitors back in.

@memnus yeah, can't say I like Gnome nearly as much as I did 15ish years ago. Although, these days I mostly just maximize everything and alt-tab around, so I deal very little with most of it.

Still prefer Pop!_OS when I can get it. The tiling feature in Pop! shell is pretty nice, if a little rough at times

@memnus it's so frustrating that GNOME went from the heights of 2 to the pretentious unusable mess that is 3+... almost as frustrating as it not being abandoned for this in favor of Cinnamon/MATE/XFCE by mainstream distros, but instead further embraced as the only 'supported' option
